Our herd is a nice mixture of registered and commercial cows. We have always selected a registered herd bull. When starting our beef herd we considered a number of factors, which lead us to start raising Herefords, with some Angus influence. We wanted cattle that had a mild disposition and were easy to handle and work with. We also took into consideration ease of calving and good weaning weights. We found the Hereford breed of cattle to be especially easy to work with and handle. The cows and bulls alike have great dispositions. We also started adding some Angus influence when we added two Angus cows to our herd. The black baldy calves have the great Hereford disposition with the size and growth of an Angus.
Here is a sampling of some of our farm raised heifers and two of our herd bulls. We also regularly offer cattle for sale, so please get in touch with us if you are looking to start or add to your own herd.
