Broedlow Family Favorites

Grandma’s Casserole

We hope you enjoy this great family recipe, made even better with quality farm fresh beef. This is a Broedlow family favorite that was often prepared by Grandma Phyllis Broedlow.

  • 1 pound Broedlow Farms ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 quart of stewed tomatoes (canned from the garden is best)
  • 1 can of tomato soup
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup bag of egg noodles
  • 1 can of mushrooms drained (optional)
  1. Brown ground beef w/onion in stock pot.
  2. Add stewed tomatoes, soup, sugar and mushrooms; let simmer.
  3. Cook egg noodles in separate pot; drain and add to above.
  4. Salt and pepper to taste. Serve and enjoy.

Slow Cooker Beef Roast

Sunday’s are our favorite day to make dinner in the slower cooker and this is one of our favorite recipes for that.

  • 1 Broedlow Farms roast frozen (any cut works)
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon parsley
  • 1 can french onion concentrate soup
  • 2 cups cut up carrots
  • 10-15 extra small potatoes
  1. Place the frozen roast in crock pot.
  2. Add all other ingredients and then cover contents with water.
  3. Let cook on low all day.
  4. Remove roast and vegetables from crock pot. Salt and pepper to taste and enjoy.

Olive Meat Loaf

If you enjoy the savory taste of olives as much as our family does. Give this olive meat loaf recipe a try.

  • 1 pound Broedlow Farms ground beef, thawed.
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup sliced black olives
  • 1/2 cup sliced green olives
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 3/4 cup quick oatmeal
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1/8 cup brown sugar
  1. Preheat oven to 375 F and grease a loaf pan.
  2. Mix all ingredients together and form into loaf and place in pan and top with more ketchup.
  3. Bake covered with aluminum foil for 30 minutes.
  4. Uncover and continue baking for 10-15 minutes or until cooked through.
  5. Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes and serve.
